Nya tankar och intryck i all ära men ibland är det ljuvligt att plocka fram gamla godingar och njuta en gång till av sånt en gång kändes omvälvande och som skakade om en på det skönaste vis.

När jag läste på engelska instutionen för några år sen fick jag stifta lite närmare bekantskap med Ralph Waldo Emerson. Dammade av hans "Self-Reliance" från 1841 igen idag. Så fantastiskt bra. Ganska mastig läsning bitvis men där i mellan så fullt av guldkorn. Min antologi är helt nedkladdad av markeringar i olika färger och sidkommentarer och understryckningar.
